SURPLUS FREIGHT FURNITURE My mother was making pymnts. on furniture from June-Nov. 2009. When she tried to contact this company the number was no longer in service. $1,618.65 of my mother's money & no furniture was recv'd. Dedham, Massachusetts

My mother was making payments on furniture that she had a layaway with this company from June through November of 2009.  When she made her December payment, the check was returned which prompted her to contact the store.  When she did she learned tht the telephone number was no longer in service.  She made additional attempts and found that this company no longer exists.  They took $1,618.65 of her money and she never received a piece of furniture.

The employees mailed out notices to all customers notifying them of the business closing.  Employees also called all layaway customers to inform them of the dead line to retrieve their merchandise or possibly cancelling thier current layaways. 

Unfortunate that this matter was not resolved prior to this rebuttal.  I am willing to assist them.  I am going to need the following in order for me to look up thier account; Name, Address, Phone number and Invoice number as shown on their receipt.
