Synergy Medical Systems charges $75-135 for basic arm slings, which are the exact same model/manufacturer as sold by Walmart for $5. Was not informed of this before surgery, and later charged by Synergy directly rather than the hospital. Total scam, likely as an effort for Dr's to receive kick-backs to increase their pay above maximums allowed by insurance companies. Ask about hidden costs prior to surgery, and bring your own slings where possible.
