I read that they have a special in oil change,I called them to ask how much they will do a tune-up, they said that I need to go to the store, I went there he charge me $185, then the car sound worse than the begining, the car stopped by night, then they picked up the car stay in their store for a complete week, with no way for me to take care of my business, with three kids, then they charge me $321 for some switch and now the car is worse, and the man is inventing stories that someone might have cut some wires, I feel very angry and powerless.

For those who don't know how that place operates...

The oil change special she refers to, is $8.88, and includes the FREE tire rotation.

Now, use your thinking cap for a minute, and CSI this deal out a bit. An oil change takes about 15-20 minutes. Add another 10-15 minutes to rotate the tires, and you have about 30 minutes worth of labor the shop has to pay the mechanic. The oil and filter alone, cost more than $8.88....more like about $12.00. Did you REALLY believe a business was going to charge you LESS for the parts(oil and filter) than the shop paid, and then pay the mechanic for his time, all for LESS than the shop has invested in the repair? The FREE rotation is to sell you a $200 brake job you don't need.

In your case, you gave them the okie-dokie to screw you hard with one of their infamous "tune-ups" that don't help you. THAT is how these places make their money. They sucker you in with a price that NOBODY with a lick of sense would believe, and then burn your eyes out with shoddy work. The point of a tune-up is to make the engine run like new again. And no...it CANNOT be done for $20.

Here's a clue...a legitimate price for an oil and filter change in Florida is $24.95. Anything less than that(especially 1/3 as much) is a SCAM. It's like brake jobs. If EVERY shop is advertising $80 front OR rear, why would a REASONABLE person believe the ONE shop advertising all 4 for LESS than that is a REAL price. Stop trying to use shops that are UNREASONABLY lowballing their pricing.

If it looks to good to be true, it is.
