Tuesday April 12th 2016 , I was tagged on a Facebook post by a friend ( link: http://www.modeltest.biz/ ) I was a bit skeptic because I already decided I was over the "modeling world" but still manage to give it a try ... With good faith I applied next day Wednesday 13th 2016 I got a text from a California number (562)472-2335 by a lady called Daryl her email daryl@socialmediaformodels.com - I agreed to have the meeting/interview At NEW YORK CASTING PLACE Black Dot Creative ( New Address) Studio 2C, 148 Lawrence Street Brooklyn New York 11201 on April 16th 2016 MI got there around 10:am along with two other girls that I didn't know and greeted by a man name Peter koloff. upon arrival I signed my name and met with a man that went by the name of "EJ" in wich later on discovered his name was Erik John DeSando very vibrant guy and spoke with "LIFE" ..

During he presentation he showed us power points , and gave us specific "facts" about who he knew with in the industry and how he worked for donated trump and how much of a jerk ect : his words gave me life ! His words I felt - but one thing that stuck out to me was his eagerness to emphasize how he hated "analitacle people " and how in life we're all suppose to take risk" witch they me off after he mention fee's - because now I don't want to disappoint him for being analitacle and of course I wanna be "chosen" after he was done talking I was still in doubt. Peter then sat us all ( 5 girls ) outside witch was the hallway outside of the office - they set up the interview room where Erick was on one side and Peter was across the rooms - not sure why we were talking to Peter but he was asking questions making me feel uncomfortable he ask to view my Instagram but took my phone he had his feet kicked up basically killing time untill EJ finished with the girl he has ... ( never did I see EJ stand up and go to a Captyb Machine ) He later on sat me thru what they call an interview basically talking to me about the same thing letting me know how much I had to pay .. My heart was telling me yes my mind was telling me no ... And as for EJ he was making sure he used the right words to make me feel pressured ---words like " I don't like People that waste my time " " u don't get picked if you're too analytical " " you have what it takes " " be a risk taker " ----he handed me paper work and ask me to pay I told him "I didn't have my card and I wassnt too sure " and he persisted to say " call someone and have someone take a picture " or use another card " right then and there I wanted to back out but because I felt that he was getting aggressive and I was a alone with him and "peter koloff " ( the photographer ) I didn't want to trigger anything so I told him I was gonna call back to give him the information to my card just to get out of there ...

Eric then asked me to sign what Eric calls "peters contract" basically an agreement for me to pay the test shoot- unfortunately I was feeling a bit threaten and venerable so I skimmed thru the paper work and signed it minus my payment information .... He then Tex me the next day telling me about the contract witch then scares nd makes me go back to the contract to read ... I bust into tears ... I google and came across this article and it seems to be similar to mine including Eric name ... I didn't loose any money and am not looking for any money I just don't wanna be sued for a contract I signed plz help any advice I've been up since 12:00 am googling information I've seen so much bad things about this Erik guy ... I tried calling him and no response he said to contact Peter and I emailed him and still nothing I don't know what to do It is now 6:07am Scared to use my first name Bronx . Sent from my iPhone

Misunderstanding

AUTHOR: Peter koloff - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, June 20, 2016

Hi Bronx,

This is Peter the photographer whose name is mentioned above. I'm really sorry that you felt the way you did according to your review. Let me be clear that I'm only writing on behalf of myself and Black Dot Creative not Model Test or Social Media for Models these are both companies that hire my services to provide photography for their clients.

Let me try to clear up some of your concerns.

1) It's a common practice for photographers to get a deposit when booked for a shoot. The reason photographers ask for a deposit is so that when people cancel last minute we are not left with having to pay our makeup artist, stylist or studio assistants out of our own pocket.

Normally when a client wants to postponed I honor their deposit for a later date. In this case I believe I never received a deposit from your side anyways.

2) It's also common for models who are in the beginning stages to pay for pictures while building portfolios specially when they are not signed to an agency.

As for your review it sounds like you were on the fence from the beginning. I have been in this business for a long time and have never had any complaints from any of my customers. So this is definitely making me feel extremely sad.
Specially because I never filed any lawsuit against you or took any money from you.

So why are you shaming my name? I don't understand. Even on your review you mentioned no money was lost on your part. In any case I'm not mad I'm just hurt that someone would take the time to write a bad review over something they never lost anything from.

I take my craft seriously and respect all my clients. I'm also more than happy to provide a list of satisfied customers. I've shot thousands of aspiring models including supermodels who I'm sure would have lots good things to say about me.

I apologize if there was a misunderstanding and hope you would be willing to do business with me in the future.  My address and full contact information is on my websites I can always be reached anytime.

I'm not hiding behind any anonymous name .

Love,
Peter Koloff

You are safe

AUTHOR: jane - (USA)

He is trying to threaten you into paying. He did not render photography services and does not have your payment information. Block the emails and phone calls and do not respond further to them. They are trying to harass unassuming young people into paying for their modeling scams. You are perfectly safe. He is not going to sue you.
