I bought $20 in gas yesterday at a local Texaco station in Freeland, WA. Today I checked the card on-line. I see the $20 charge and then another $126 charge -- both PENDING.
Apparently this is a usual practice of Texaco/Chevron company. The pending charge is supposed to be removed within 5 days but still, just to get $20 worth of gas I now must monitor my credit card on-line to make sure the charge is removed.
Wow, bogus business practice.
