okay so we bought a 300c for my son thru ebay, they cancelled the auction once we met the reserve so its impossible to leave feedback. im pretty sure thats how they avoid negative feedback since they cancel all of their ebay listings...they only allow those that are willing to post positive to post at all. the reason that I say that is because when i arrived at their showroom, there were a LOT of unhappy people there.
anyhow, when i got to the airport there was noone there to pick me up like they said they would. i had to call the dealership and finally someone showed up a half hour later. then I had to wait at the airport for another customer that arrived another half hour later.
arriving at the dealership, i was told that the car was down the street getting a texas safety inspection and it would be back in 20 minutes. i was a little annoyed, because why didnt they take care of all of this yesterday? They had my $200 deposit.
so 2 hours later...no car. Now im told that it didnt pass because the battery had been dead....but it needed to warm up and by the time I got home to san antonio it should pass. so i should go ahead and buy it without the safety certificate.
I asked to test drive it before i made any decisions. they said it was in the front. it was so filthy that i didnt recognize it. the salesman, michael Phan told me to go ahead and test drive it . i refused, the inside was filthy as well. i didnt even want to get in. they finally said that they would wash it.
They brought me a "contract" which was the supposed guarantee that it would pass the safety. it was one sentence that said "we will pay for repairs for safety inspection". i just laughed. I spent an hour writing up a real agreement, but the manager refused to agree to pay the costs of transporting the vehicle back if it could not pass the safety...i would have to pay all costs associated with it.
that was the final straw. i left without buying the car. i plan to file a small claims action for the damages that I suffered for airfare. Ill keep you posted
