I googled website for renewal of Texas Driver's License. Then this site appeared; I thought that I was on the Texas DPS site for renewal of a driver's license. When they requested a fee of $24.95, it appeared that this amount was the fee for renewal of a driver's license. After entering my card information, I was told to download the renewal form. After completing this download, it then brought up the form to be filled out for the renewal of the driver's license. It wasn't until I had completed the form and the amount of $25.00 was requested for renewal of driver's license that I realized that I had been scammed. The site (TexasDriverServices) made it to appear that I was renewing the driver's license; however, what I paid for initially was only a form to assist in the renewal of the driver's license. After I had paid my $24.95, the actual form for renewal of the driver's license appeared.
The way that it comes up really makes one to think they are on the site of the Texas DPS and the money being requested is in payment of that renewal.
