The Easy Yellow Pages, Inc. Billing for service not requested Fridley Internet
*Consumer Comment: rebuttal to The Easy Yellow Pages,Inc complaint
I signed up to pay my bill online. I found that I am being billed for a service I did not request or was not giving all information about being charged for this service. When I call they started to answer questions before I asked them. This tells me that they are use to poeple calling and disputing these charges. They company was very confrontational and would talk over me. They finally said they would credit all charges however this still remains to be seen

rebuttal to The Easy Yellow Pages,Inc complaint

I also have been charged every month for one year for the services of The Easy Yellow Pages, Inc(which does web hosting) of which I did not apply for, nor give permission to, anyone in my family or friend to apply for and bill to my account. They say that my daughter ordered their web hosting services and the billing of it would go to my phone company acct. My daughter does not have a web based company that would use their services, and did not order their services.
How is it possible that they could accept say, just about anyone, ordering their service and say bill it to so and so.By the way, my daughter never got an email from them. She never got instructions on how to set up the format for the website etc.She has checked her emails all the way back to a year ago, and no email from them shows up. Actually, she typed in their co. name in search in emails, and nothing showed up.
This is most likely a scam. Someone is making commissions off the selling of website orders illegally. I have called AT&T about it and they just refer me to the Easy Yellow Pages, Inc to discuss it. When I called them and complained, they would only reimburse me for 6 months worth. When my daughter called them they agreed to reimburse my account the remainder of the amounts charged over a year's time. They say it will take maybe 2 months to show up on my statement. I have cancelled AT&T so we will see what happens. Pays to check your statements. However, I would have never thought that At&T would allow this type of service in their statements. They must be making money off of it too.
