We go to the hair cuttery because it is cheaper, and most of the time, the cuts are pretty good.

Last weekend, my husband went to the Hair Cuttery at the Towsontown Mall. Not only did he have to wait close to two hours, after they cut his hair, they charged him a few bucks extra. When he asked why, he was told that they charged extra on weekends.

This policy is NOT posted anywhere in the store! What a rip off!

If they're going to change the prices depending on what day or time it is, they should at least tell the customers BEFORE they get their hair cut!

The person who rebuttled from Idaho does not have correct information.

AUTHOR: Andre - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 08, 2003

Dear Customer,

I am a Salon Leader for one of the Hair Cuttery salons.

The person who rebuttled from Idaho does not have correct information. Where they obtained their information I have no idea as we have no salons located in Idaho.

Tammy was correct in some of her rebuttle except for one item:
Hair Cuttery does have 14.00 haircuts. If a stylist is a Master Stylist and is specifically "requested" by someone they have a separate pricing which is 2.00 more on haircut services and 5.00 more on most chemicals. The "Master Stylists" are required to tell your their pricing difference up-front. The reason for the Master Stylists pricing are to reward those individuals who have been with the company for a long period of time and have built their clientele to a request rate of 80%. I would hate to think that an individual working for our company was abusing this program.

To my knowledge our company does not have a program which charges more on the weekends however, We do have salons that have different pricing if they are located in high end areas but those prices are clearly posted in the salon.

If you have not already done so please contact the salon leader for the salon that you had the incident in. Our employees are bound by our value system: teamwork, relationship building, quality of life, integrity, self confidence.

Speaking for Hair Cuttery I am truely sorry that you had a negative experience while visiting one of our salons. Our company employs over 10,000 hair stylists and we try very hard to maintain an exceptional level of customer service.

I have forwarded your complaint to our customer service department for further evaluation. However, the best way to handle a complaint is to let the Salon know of your situation so that they can have the chance to fix the problem or explain their reasoning behind it, rather than accidentally finding it posted on a website.
Sincerely,

Salon Leader

There are many ways to beat the sytem. When you can put in a code for specilty items, that is where the problem lies. Many stylists charge differently( RedKen Colorist ) ect. They charege different. Also the pyrimid charging that many salons, including the HairCuttery is doing is wrong. It will kick you in the face!

That was not the Hair Cuttery Rules

I work for the Hair Cuttery and the Corporation rules do not charge more on week-ends!! But it may of been just that particular stylist doing the rip off not the company. Did you get your receipt? Because haircuts are 12.00 and 5.00 more for a style. Maybe she just pocketed the extra 2.00 in her pocket because there is no justification for an extra 2.00 charge.

Did you call the manager and ask him or her about it? And theres nowhere in the manual or the computer to add it in.

You have to have a number for every service to key it into the computer and there is not one for a 2.00 charge for anything. If you have any further problem with Hair Cuttery @ that location call 1-800-trimcut
