Do your research before you move to this community. I will be happy to provide you with some information to which may clarify what you are getting in to prior to signing a lease at the HAVEN at Knob Creek. First, let me emphasize that the website really paints a beautiful picture of the community. 1. It states that it has a nature trail--FALSE. Never has and never will-according to the Property Manager-Teresa Patrick-Marshall. 2. Built with great craftsmanship and quality-FALSE. After living here for several months, you can here every peep your neighbor makes. If you live under someone, you can hear them walking-even if they tip toe. There is little to NO insulation providing a sound barrier. The construction of the apartments is poor. The walls were so quickly painted that you can see the paint brush strokes, the appliances are from a "bargain bin-scratch and dent" store, the refrigerator's are very small-child size almost, and the cabinets are cheaper than particle board. They advertise this community as a "family oriented" place. TRUST ME that it is far from family oriented. Maybe my perception is skewed a bit but living in a 750 sq. ft. apartment with a full size great Dane is not exactly normal. I know I wouldn't want my child rolling around on the floor where a dog of that size has urinated (previously having one and knowing the amount of urine they pass is enormous). Most residents here have pets. The Haven is a "pet friendly" community. When I say that I truly mean pet friendly. My child and I were walking to the pool a few days ago and saw a woman walking for cocker spaniels. My neighbor has two German Sheppards and I live above a couple who have 2 grey hounds. There is one trash compactor for 400 units. It's located at the entrance (??) for everyone to see. It can only be compacted by the staff so each night it's running over to the point it's down the sidewalk. What an eye sore for passing traffic and visitor's. The Haven makes a lot of rules but never enforces them. For instance, there is to be no alcohol or animals at the pool. My child and I have swam at the pool many many times and encountered dogs by the POOLSIDE while one of the office staff-Chasidy sat and talked to the dogs owner. The trash can at the pool is overflowing EVERY MORNING with beer cans/bottles from the previous night where the college students go to hang out by the fire pit and party. The neighbors who have connecting yards to the Haven property have a live band. Every Saturday night the music is loud enough to hear while sitting in your apt. watching TV. Residents are allowed 2 guests while swimming at the pool. Oddly enough, there are parties every night-Poolside-if that's your thing-park at the clubhouse and join in the fun. Trust me-nothing will be said. The office staff are very friendly. They show you the upmost respect, courtesy and best of what they have on the front end. BE NOT DECIEVED. If you are a college student-this is the place to be. If you have a family, children or like some sort of normal peace in your life-THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. Your children will suffer from the noise throughout the night, the college lifestyle, and the lack of support from the property mgr. Teresa. There are other apartment ratings on the Haven at Knob Creek. Just keep digging.

Please know that this is not a viscous attack on the Haven community. I wish so much that there had been reviews like this out there for me to see prior to having this horrible experience. They have other property's and are managed by "First Communities"-read reviews. Maybe it's just the property Manager-Teresa who has NO spine and enforces NO rules.
