Hired by the Long Beach Magazine as their Advertising Executive with a negotiated base pay plus commission.
I sold nearly $17 thousand dollars in ad sales and established numerous leads.
Right at the Christmas holiday I realize that they aren't going to pay me. Instead of going home to see family I was at a temp job!
I found out that they were interviewing someone else on the same day that I was trying to locate them to settle the situation.
Also, they claim a circulation of 95,000 plus in their media kit, but I hear they only print 7500 magazines!
THEY ARE LOW DOWN DIRTY ROTTEN THIEVES!

Taking my issue with the Long Beach Magazine to the Labor Board, the commissioner concludes in my favor and the Long Beach Magazine promptly agrees to settle with me. I have no hard feelings with the establishment or it's owners and hear that they are doing great! I've spoke to Adam Toren on a few occasions and I appreciate his drive and willingness to learn from mistakes and press on. Although, Adam is no longer with the magazine he reports that the magazine is backed by a sophisticated group of buisness savvy people and things are on the up-and-up. Good luck to all involved!
