We moved out or the Mooring Apartments in early January 2004. As of April 26 we still have not received our security deposit of $100. This is I know a small amount of money but based on other postings on Internet it seems to be a policy of Greystar. They are the property management company over The Moorings and are located on 3411 Richmond Ave Suite 200.

The office staff are nice but totally unresponsive about this (and many other issues while a resident).
According to Texas law covered under Tex. Prop. Code SS 92.102 along with many rulings I believe The Moorings has acted in "bad faith" by not returning the deposit.
My recourse is to file suit in small claims court and to advise any client of Greystar to consider doing business with someone else. And of tenants of any Greystar managed apartment - look elsewhere.

On April 4/28/04 I finally received my security deposit of $100 from Stacy G. Hunt, President and Partner of:
Greystar Management Services LP Agent
3411 Richmond Ave, Suite 200
Houston, TX 77046
His direct number is
713 479-8947.
It took about 3.5 months to get this money. This is unaceptable. I guess this it the way Greystar increase their bottom line. Of course they offered no explanation or appology.
And to all thos who want to do business with them , renting, listing, or allowing them to manage your property such as the Moorings in League City please reconsider.
