I was to be a Mystery Shopper for Walmart. I received Cashiers Check on the 15th went to cash it on the 18th of Feb and my bank didnt have enough money to cash it, so I had to deposit it in my account. Took it out on the 19th, did my shopping and sent off my report. I also had to include sending the rest of the money through Money Gram to the next mystery Shopper. So I sent off the remainder amount. I found out today the 22nd of Feb. that the Casheirs Check was no good and returned back to our account putting us in the negative.
I have tried to get in contact with all that was involved and so far no success.

My bank did not inform me. If they had inform me that it was a scam I would not of deposited into my account. With it being a US Bank Cashiers Check I of course didnt think it was a scam since it was a "Cashiers Check" (cash).. The letter I received did not say I had to deposit it stated I was to "cash" the cashiers check. If my bank had the money they would of given me the money right then instead of me depositing it to my bank account.
But I was not informed my either cashier or manager that it was a scam.

Your bank warned you it was a scam and you didn't listen

This scam has been around for many, many years. Your report left out quite a bit of information. The way this scam works is you deposit the funds into your bank account and the scammer requires you to send most of the funds via Western Union or MoneyGram to a third party that is an individual. You are to keep a small percentage and "report" back to the scammer that is pretending to be part of a well known company. The funds that you send off are untraceable. The names of the people you have been dealing with are fake. The shopping job doesn't exist. The entire scam is designed to get you to wire those funds to a stranger in another country. You fell for it despite your bank trying to stop the transaction. Because you deposited the check into your account and it was a bad check, you are now responsible for repayment to your bank plus whatever fees and penalties apply.
You can go to the FTC(dot)gov website to get details on this scam and many other scams. Please read it so you don't fall for another one. Once you have fallen for one of these, you are more likely to get hit up again for more money on a different scam because the scammers know you aren't diligent with your funds.
The reason I know the bank warned you is because all bank personnel are trained to spot those scams and ask you a series of questions to find out the legitimacy of the check. I don't believe that they told you there were no funds to cash the check because those checks are not that large. They probably informed you the check could not be verified and that it looked like a fake check so you circumvented their system and deposited the check through another way. You will not be able to contact anyone that sent you the check. They have moved on to other people by now. It is your responsiblity to educate yourself so you don't fall for these scams. You now need to make arrangements with the bank for repayment of the OD or NSF funds.
