I have been leasing a powerchair thru The Scooter Store since July of 2011.
Medicare leases the chair for 1 year then they purchase it if patient still needs it.

When I first got the chair it was great. Total freedom and dependability. Then in Dec, I noticed a problem with chair slowing down the quickly losing it's charge. I called the company and got numerous answers, but decided to wait until nicer
weather and see how things were.

Last Friday repair man came and told me to charge it a certain way overnight. Well, I did that and nothing changed. Then they sent another repair man yesterday and boy let me tell you what happened with this guy:

The home repair man was nice enough, he took the chair apart, tested the batteries, which were fully charged and fine he took it for a short ride outdoors and came back and said the motor was not hot, so that was a good sign that the motor was ok....then he called another repair service department, I believe in Texas...where the guy on the phone told him this model chair and another model have a "rollback" problem. They do not know why it happens or how to fix it, so he tells him I need to just stop it when that happens and let it recharge back up on it's own. I said "wait a minute, I cannot use this if it is not dependable transportation for me. You want me to go 6 or 8 blocks and then stop every 10 feet on the way home to recharge for half an hour? It will take me all day to do anything". He said he was sorry but there was nothing they could do and suggested I call the advocate at the Scooter Store. THIS is where it gets unbelievable. The advocate, named Tim, tells me they must have given me the wrong information. I tell him I heard what the main mechanic told the repairman here myself thru his cell phone. Tim asked if they offered to take it in to be repaired, I said no they did not because the man on the phone said they were not able to fix it and most of these models and 1 other model have these problems and they just are not able to fix it yet. Tim then informed me that since the powerchair was alomst paid for, I was basically stuck with it because Medicare only allows one powerchair per every 5 years. I tol them I was calling Medicare but I think this is FRAUD on your companys part if you know eventually a product you sell will end up with a problem you can't even fix, well that has got to be illegal. I called Medicare, as I said, and they told me to call another chair provider.  BUYER BEWARE
