I purchased a horse from Mike and Kathryn Smith Dixie Horsemand Transport as a lesson horse for small children. They knew that I was looking for a completely deadbroke beginner childs horse and they advertised this gelding as a beginner's horse. Below I have attached the ad that they ran.

This horse is NOT a beginner childs horse and should not be around children. They are liers and when I tried to contact them they would not return my phone calls or emails.

Finally I found a different number for them and got in touch with Mike. He refused to take the horse back. I am now looking into sueing them also.

Maverick is a very sweet gentle gelding. He's very kind hearted, tries so hard to please everyone he meets & has a great "want to please" attitude. A super family horse, safe for any level rider, a babysitter gelding.

He has always been handled with kindness and gentleness, and puts a lot of trust into the rider. He loves apples and will give you kisses for them. He is safe for beginners; he does not take advantage of them and goes out easily.

He has had children and beginner adults on him; he is not partial to any one "type" of person. He is a smooth ride and easy for the unbalanced rider. Laid back, in no hurry, content to walk along on a loose rein for you. Will jog & lope if you ask.

To really appreciate him you must come and ride him yourself, let him win your heart and let him prove just how level headed and safe he is. H has zero bad habits, vices or issues of any kind. He has great manners both on the ground and under saddle and has no intimidating behaviors to anyone.

He picks up all four feet with ease, clips, and ties without any nervous tensions and is very easy on the farrier. Been there done that attitude, ready to go when you get him, no lunging required. Just hop on and go. He is willing to try anything you ask of him.

He is a trail horse deluxe. He will take up the lead, bring up the rear or ride anywhere in the middle. Crosses water, logs, and does not spook. He is very easy going and puts up with people's mistakes.

Traffic and highway safe not scared of ATV or 4-wheelers flying by you on the trail. He is that horse you can keep around for the guests to ride and know they will be safe. He always takes care of hi rider.

This horse has never bucked, bolted or demonstrated a mean bone in his body. Completely sound and will vet check 100% sound, clean legs, no health issues, and has no vices.
