I responded to an e-mail received in a seldom checked e-mail account that informed me that I had been "pre-approved" for a short term loan of up to $1,500. which could be deposited in my account within an hour.  It was shortly before Christmas so I decided to check it out.  I entered basic information that anyone could get by going to the white pages and next thing I knew I was getting a phone call congratulating me that I had been approved.

They asked for a bank reference and I gave them some basic information for an account.  The female on the phone then said that she wanted to arrange for a "conference call" with my bank which I declined to give and I hung up and expected that the matter was closed.

Subsequently I had decided to sell some things online and decided to have an online payment processor active on many online auction sites, deposit money into the same account.  When the bank sent me notice that I had received a deposit, I did not think much about it.  I begin receiving orders and got busy processing them and I assumed that it was from some of my online sales and since I was busy with holiday activities I did not immediately follow up on it.  I simply used the money for buying more materials and for some Christmas shopping.

In a couple weeks, I got an overdraft notice from my bank and I was sure there was a mistake so I began to check into it and found that The VIP Loan Shop had without my approval deposited a $300. "loan" into my account and in two weeks had debited my account for two payments which they called a "finance fee of $135." and another for $160.  and many subsequent "fees" that total in excess of $600 and do not include the alleged principal.

In checking online I found that they have done the identical same thing to many others.  A web search provides hundreds of examples of their similar misdeeds using a variety of business names.  They claim that they do not have to be licensed in any State because they are an offshore business and claim that they are not subject to any US Federal or State law.  When I refused to pay their usurous fees they sicked their PDL Support, LLC collection agency on me and I started getting 7 or 8 calls a day.  When I demanded that they provide proof as required by Federal laws they said that it did not apply to them and they refused to provide me with anything including a contact address within the US.

These people are scammers and thieves and have a well known reputation for doing the same thing to hundreds of people and also for debiting bank accounts without consent and the Better Business Bureau also reports that they have debited many peoples bank accounts even after the alleged loans have been repaid.  They are operating illegally in all states that we checked and also using collection practices that violate the Federal Statutes governing that industry.

They are not licensed in the State of Washington as required by Title 31 of the RCW.  The same is true for all other states that we could verify online.

Hopefully someone will investigate them and shut them down.

Also if everyone to whom they "loan" money with their fraudulent schemes, would refuse to repay them and block them from debiting accounts, as most State laws and Federal law allows they would soon be out of business with their scams.
