The Willows My Apartment Complex changed my locks without any notification ripoff Winter Park Florida

I came home from work wednesday January 25th to find a notice on my door, stating the apaprtment complex would be doing thier yearly inspection of the apartments tomorrow (thursday). This is their second "yearly" inspection since I've lived there. I've only lived there since May 31st of 2005.

I inserted my key in the lock only to find out that it did not work. As in it didn't turn the lock at all. I went to the front office to get a maintenance man or ask for a spare. Turns out that while I was at work, the apartment complex realized they did not have a spare key on file for me. They needed one in order to enter the apartment for the inspection the following day.

They entered my apartment without any verbal or written notification prior, and CHANGED MY LOCKS!!! They normally close before I get home from work, thier plan was to leave the key with a maintenance man who lives on the property. I am a 18 year old girl, I have never met this man, and do not feel comfortable retrieving a key from his home!

My boyfriend had my phone for the day, and they said they called him to tell him to tell me to come to the office. I checked my phone history this was done at 4:30 he would have given them my work number if they told him they were going to change my locks.

I called anonomously to get the name of thier property management company, and they gave me sabal miller property management. The lady who gave me this name Yolanda, said she did not have a phone number for them. I have searched all morning on hte internet, and dialed 411, and have not found one reference to this company. I have tried multiple spellings.

I have lived in apartments my entire life, and have never had anything like this happen to me. I am extremely upset that my locks wre changed without any notification! What would have happened if I came home late, and the maintenance man was asleep? or Gone? I would have been locked out of my home which I pay rent for on time every month all night!
