I used a company called thesignbandits.com (FL) - paid $305.00 that claims he can "put out signs in 48 states". He did not put out the signs, wont return calls or emails and does not answer his phone. Yet I see he (Greg from the sign bandits) is still posting all over message boards as recently as Monday and trying to bait people into his "service".

Paypal awarded me the dispute ( I can prove it) and went to debit his account and he has no money.........

At this time - I am out still out $305 and looking for my money.

I was also ripped off by Signbandits.com

I paid signbandits $105 to put up 50 bandit signs, after 3 weeks no answer. No returned phone calls or email. Then after the 3 weeks theye sent an email saying they didnt get the fax. It took them 3 weeks to respond after i paid, that is horrible business. I did however send the fax again after and since then nothing. They never answer their phone or email since yet they took my $105. I did email them from another anonymous email address where they answered within hours. This would qualify them for scam artist don't you think? They just stole me money with impunity

TheSignBandits Are Not Being Truthful

AUTHOR: Fjgrandteton - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 12, 2008

The sign bandits acknowledged to me in email that the signs did NOT get put out.

The one and only reply I received from him was his suggestion to dispute with my bank to get reimbursed. I have the documentation to show that my bank declined to reimburse as 1.This was not identity theft 2.He (Greg) admitted not putting out the signs or providing service.

This is not identity theft - which is what my bank reimburses for....this is a company that advertises a service, screens their calls and calls back those that sound like they will pay. They sure dont return calls after they fail to provide service. I even left a voice mail offering to accept a "service credit" when he did not have the funds to pay me back....and nothing, no reply. This is how he does business.

My bank said I have what appears to be a clear cut civil matter - as he accepted funds, did not provide the service - admitted it..yet wants Visa or issuing bank to refund what he should be reimbursing me for.

Do I want to fly to Florida/or hire attorney to file a suit for $305.00 - not really, but I will if I need to. Lawsuits are public record and it will save some others from getting ripped off. He spoke in generalities in his reply here thats because he owes me $305.00 and he knows it....

Issues happen sometimes

AUTHOR: Thesignbandits - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, November 03, 2008

Issues happen sometimes when a person that is hired fails to perform as every company has the occassional problem with employees. In that we sell and place thousands of signs on a weekly basis, it is impossible to have 100% perfection.

We only accept credit cards for payment as a protection for the client, so the client can stop payment on his credit card in the event that something happens out of our control.

I encourage this person to just stop payment on the card. That's 99% of the reason we only accept credit cards so the client has control over payment.

If he/she is telling the truth, there will be no issue by disputing the charge with their credit card company and they will not be out a dime.
