Ticket Arsenal Company overcharges. I bought 5 concert tickets totaling over $500 and found out later they should have cost $250.. San Francisco, California
*Consumer Comment: Likely fees
I don't know how this company gets away with the amount that they overcharge their customers. I think they are doing something criminally wrong. I would love to part of a class action lawsuit that puts these people out of business. Charging double the price of the tickets is ridiculous. I paid over $100 per ticket to the Mana concert on April 17, at the Power Balance pavilion (the old Arco Arena). They should have cost about $50 each. I will NEVER use this company again and I hope someone reads this before they throw away their hard earned money.

Likely fees

It sounds like you may not have looked at additional fees that you were getting charged for buying through this vendor. Convenience fees are often pretty high and on top of those there are often venue use fees.
If you buy from the box office at the location that the concert is being held (if possible) you usually save close to 50% in fees.
For instance the last concert i went to cost $35 per ticket before any fees. On top of that i had a $15 fee for ordering through a third party ticket vendor, and a $10 vendor fee bringing the total to $60 a ticket. If i had gotten the tickets at the box office my ticket price would have been $13 less, the convenience fee being only $2 there instead of $15.
Pretty much you just have to realize that any time you look at ticket prices you are going to have a decent sum tacked on in fees.
