Back in March of 2002 I was on Tigerdirect.com and I bought a refurbished computer and nowhere in the product description did it say that there was no refund and it was a 30 day return policy.

So I ordered the Pc off of the site and when I had recieved the machine I hooked the pc together and the screen showed YELLOW!!!!
(beautiful right?).

I had tried 4 different monitors because I thought it was the monitor.(this was all within of a hour of recieving the pc via Fedex)I then called the company and they told me there was basically nothing that they could do about it, I had to call EMachines(mind you I bought the d**n computer from Tiger)they gave me some sloppy a*s tech work that I already tried, then the keys on the keyboard and mouse didn't work.

I was told by emachine that they would send a mouse and keyboard it took a week for the keyboard and a month and a half for the mouse and I still see yellow) Tiger told me to buy a d**n warranty, no take your trashy a*s computer back, they told me they dont do refunds and there is no such refund policy...They told me you cant try it and return it.BUT IT DOESNT WORK!EMachines told me that the computer I had just recieved 30 mins ago they would service it and give it back in 21 days, counting weekends it would take a whole month before I could use the brand new Pc I just bought.

Tiger told me they can only offer me technical support through Emachines.

If you had the thought to buy from them dont waste your time, They sell Trash and wont take it back

Tigerdirect.com has restrictive refund. Problem video card?

AUTHOR: Wilson - ()

POSTED: Sunday, May 05, 2002

Nikki,

Sorry to read about your yellow monitor screen. Based upon your testing of four monitors, I think your problem is a bad video card which is usually easy to replace and test. Unfortunately, eMachines has their video port integrated onto their motherboard. You might be able to bypass their video port and install a high quality video card, but I don't have an e-Machines PC so I can't tell you how to do that.

I checked tigerdirect's website and their return and refund policy is stated under Customer Care and then under Return Policy. These cheap liquidator sites such as tiger direct and ubid.com has to have restrictive return policies in order to offer merchandise at such low prices.
My recommendation for future computer purchases is to buy them from a local computer store where you can test the machine before exchaning money. My desktop was custom made by a friend's friend who worked in a small computer shop.
