Tim Kershaw Express Medical Service AVOID TIM KERSHAW AND ANY MEDICAL BRACE PROVIDER

I have a 90 yr old grandmother who I ABSOLUTELY love and adore.  She has this delightfully resilient attitude about life and her circumstance.  She'd been complaining for months about the pain in her knee and lower back.  So I began looking for cost effective solution to provide her some relief.  about 6 weeks ago, I came across an ad on craigslist (which should've been my first red flag) saying that I could get her a knee and back brace at no cost to her.  

So I called the guy who introduced himself as "Tim Kershaw", and led with sharing his deep "christian beliefs and background" (which should've been my 2nd red flag) -- never trust people who feel the need to broadcast their religion to establish credibility and integrity.  He told me of an "opportunity" to help my community while making a little extra money.  It sounded pretty good, because I'm pretty active in the senior community and I saw a great opporunity to help relieve many people's pain at no cost to them.

Tim came to my grandmother's house to help me fill out the application to get her approved.  Tim told us that "Gram" would be recieving a call to verify her information and finalize her brace.  All seemed well.  I had no idea what was to come a few days later.  

She began receiving NON STOP harassing calls starting at 6:30am.  They called back to back to back to back.  People were calling from all over the country and even people from India were calling trying to get her to accept additional braces.  I called Tim to tell him to have those people stop calling.  He said "no problem" to which I felt a sense of relief.  However, the calls continued, and the nature of the calls became increasingly aggressive.  My grandmother was told that they would keep calling her until she accepted the brace and if she changed her number they would keep calling.  They're "spoofing" their numbers and calling over and over and over again.  She received close to 40 calls one day...it was almost as if they were calling every 10-15 minutes.

No bare in mind that Gram is 90 yrs old, and its a great challenge for her to even get up and get to her phone.  So this is a HUGE problem.  I called Tim again and he said "there's nothing I can do to stop those other people from calling."  It's almost like the guy who opens the door for the burglars to say "hey I didn't burglarize the house...I can't control what those guys do."  he opened the door.  He came in with his psuedo religious rhetoric to lull us into a false sense of security to take advantage of the situation.  

The easy solution would be to change her phone number.  However, I've NEVER known Gram to have another phone number.  She's the matriarch of a huge family that spans across America.  She is SUPER against changing her number.   So i called spectrum to block the numbers.  Spectrum has a 30 phone number limit as to the numbers they can black.  There were 21 different phone numbers that had called in 24 hours.  The customer service rep was even shocked at the number of calls saying "i've never seen this many calls before...this is an extremem case!"  

After blocking the number and feeling a sense of accomplishment, the calls continued and continue to this day.  Tim Kershaw won't take my calls now, as he continues to peddle these braces FULLY AWARE that people are going to be put on a data base to be inundated with calls.  This has damaged my credibility with my grandmother and is the talk of the family.  I was only trying to help and now I have to deal with this.  Tim Kershaw is long gone.  The website associated with all of this has NO PHONE NUMBER AND NO ADDRESS...which should've been red flag #3.  I was so concerned about getting her relief that I didn't see the signs...so it's partially my fault, but we don't deserve this, and Tim Kershaw shouldn't be able to just wash his hands of this and walk away.  

He's out there signing up reps and putting people in bad situations with impunity.  I just wanted to have this on the record somewhere.  STAY AWAY FROM THESE MEDICAL BRACE COMPANIES UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE OVERWHELMED WITH HARASSING CALLS.  If you meet Tim Kershaw...slap him for me, and NEVER TRUST PEOPLE THAT LEAD WITH THEIR RELIGION.
