I just wanted to say I'm not taking anyones side I just wanted to commnet that by making the statement you made about suing Tammy that you too opened yourself up for legal remedy by posting your comments in an open public forum. If you have legal counsel I would suggest you consult he or she before you post something like this again.

About the ABC 15 News Report i am Bill Glatzel's Son Tyler Glatzel and i saw the report and i gotta hand it to ABC for really stretching the truth... let me rephrase that completley, streching and then ripping the truth in half. They editied the clip to make it seem like he was a bad person or always running from the news crew when they came to his house, and the clip where he was driving away that was not him nad when one of his employees said they do put E-Collars on the dogs they train the clip cut off and didnt let her finish explaining how they use them and how there muscle stims. and how they let you feel them first And I am glad that Tammy from Peoria has agreed to the training methods of Bill Glatzel and i just wanted to shed some light on the ABC 15 news report i know that every thing is resovled and im glad.

If Bill and his company are so honest why didn't he talk to the investigative reporter on ABC 15?

I was an unfortunate customer of K9 TLC. I paid for lessons and he only showed up once. Not to mention that he said the collars were supposed to be used to get the dogs attention. My 3 month old puppy was so attentive that Bill actually had to distract him so he could show me how the collar works. Why would you have to use a collar to get a puppy's attention when the puppy is already giving you his undivided attention?

ABC 15 exposed this company for it's unscrupulous practices. There are several unsatisfied customers out there. I would not recommend this company to anyone...unless you enjoy dealing with used car salesmen!

First off, they are not "shock collars". They are simply muscle stims. Yes, there is a difference.

I have only seem Tammy post one comment. Very little information was given other than her simple, unsubstantiated claim.

My dogs have been in TLC K9 Academy's training program for seven months. They love the trainers and they love their sessions. They never cry when we hit the button on the muscle stim. It is at a safe level and before we put them on the dogs, the dog trainer had us try them on our wrists at different levels so that we would understand what it felt like on the dogs. It's simply just a vibration.

That's all. Perhaps before everyone judges, they should get all the facts.

The shock dog collar has earned mixed reviews from both owners and trainers alike. However, the only positive reviews have been from consumers who had animals with violent tendencies.

What amazes me the most about this is the fact that the collar was used on a three month old puppy who appears to come from a loving and caring home. Without a negative environment around the puppy I don't understand how a puppy could have developed such poor behavior that using a shock collar was necessary, especially with more effective measures out there such as positive reinforcement.

Futhermore, as a trainer you should have been responsible enough to show the dog owner how to handle the shock collar because an average dog owner may not understand how to set the shock collar properly and could possibly cause harm to the animal. This shows negligence on you, as the trainer, if you did in fact completely educate the owner then this whole situation could have been avoided. Y

our job is not only to train the pet but also to explain to the owner why you are using the methods you have chosen. You should have chosen to educate the owner as to why you chose to use a shock collar instead of positive reinforcment. This whole thing is your fault because as a trainer you did'nt educate the owner.

One other quick point I'd like to make is that you defaming her claims does nothing to help your reputation. Your obviously not capable of satisfying the client or you would'nt be on this site at all. Bullying tactics did'nt work in grade school and they won't work in court. The truth always comes out.

Also one more thing I have to make is that animals like people have varying pain tolerance, so how can you tell as a person what is tolerant for a young puppy?

First of all, there is a nasty little thing getting in your way called the First Amendment. The OP has a right to post her opinion about your methods. And from your bullying demeanor that you exhibit in your postings and threats to sue because you don't like what she says, methinks she hit a nerve because you don't like being exposed. Otherwise, you would not be having an online tantrum for the the entire world to see. You would have responded in a professional manner, stating your side of the story, instead of stamping your hooves and making threats.

Oh, and Mr. Expert? My mother trained dogs for over 25 years and was horrified that a shock collar would be used on a puppy (or any dog short of Cujo, for that matter). You did hear of a little thing called "positive reinforcement", did you not?

Of course, now that you have basically made a case supporting the claim of the original poster, I await service of your impending lawsuit against me for disagreeing with you.

The internet has become an unfortunate forum for any wack-job to lie and defame anyone.

It astounds me that people have nothing better to do than to comment on issues they have absolutely no first hand knowledge of.

Perhapse when you have been a victim of defamation and untruths, you will understand. If anyone has had their business and livelyhood smeared, they would understand the need to defend their good name, reputation, and business.

If you are using a shock collar on a 3 month old puppy, you are an idiot. Shock collars should ONLY be used as a last resort. NEVER on a young puppy.
