Tom's place is a nice place to go but do not run a tab. I ran a tab with my wife several months ago and the bill came to with drinks and food over $100.00. I quickly looked at the tab added a tip and we went home. The next day my wife said that the bill was high. I took the receipt out of my wallet and looked it over. They added a 20% tip to my bill? and I also tipped on top of that. I called them the next day because myself and my wife go there on the weekends to dance and listen to the band. I was told by the staff that Tom said it was ok to add the tip on without the customer knowing about it? My understanding about added a tip had to be posted or a party of 6 or better you would be charged this amount but you were told about be hand. Myself and my wife are very good tippers and we have never stiffed any bartender. I called Tom and asked him he said some rude things and told me if I did not like it not to come in anymore. We have not been back since. I know we were Ripped off big time but what can we do???

Will, call your credit card company and they will absolutely correct the situation. Ask them to refund BOTH tips, as neither was mandatory, nor do they appear to be warranted. The restaurant will not be able to do anything about it. Then go back there and enjoy a few drinks with a smile on your face ;-)
