Toms Wholesale Furniture ripoff after five months of waiting we got a "hot" check as a refund Leesville Fort Polk Louisiana

Five months ago we bought furniture for our home at "TOM'S WHOLESALE FURNATURE". Remember that name, it's not a happy ending. We chose a love seat from the selections in the store and were assured that they would deliver the set of sofa and love seat, the next day.
Well about a week later here comes the furniture. It's finally here, but when it is brought in the house, it is two different colors, "oh", they said, "we thought it was just the shadows inside the truck." So we are told the problem would be fixed. they would order a whole new set and we could use the miss matched stuff for now.
Well having a 10 yr. old and triplets that are 2yrs. old we were more than willing to use it.

After countless times of calling and hearing that "Tom" was not there or the truck broke down, just give them until the next week, they would personally go pick it up if it did not come, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. We hung in there for three months, and now they no longer make the color we were looking at originally. We were given a coffee table set for the inconvenience.

We tell them it is okay we will take the color they can match whether it be the color of the sofa or loveseat as long as they match.

Another month goes by, now receiving our furniture in April has turned into August. We decide to ask for our money back. A couple days later they came and took the sofa and loveseat, along with the coffee table set that was "ours to keep" because of the hassle.
We were given a check from Tom, (the owner) in the correct amount of $1290.00. OKAY, now that that is settled, we cash the check, and go out of town and use the cash to buy our sofa set. Three days later our bank account is negative, Yep, $1290.00. THE CHECK WAS NO GOOD!

Please be aware that this store is still in business on Entrance Rd. My visits with the sheriff's office and with the DA's office have lead me to find out that they are working on cases against the owner for other people who are having problems with this same company. If you have already encountered problems with this company, please turn it in and if you are thinking of buying from "Tom's Wholesale Furniture" think it through first. We work too hard for our money to give it away for an empty promise!!
