On December 1, 2016, I drove my 2002 Buick LeSabre for a routine oil change to Wayerloo Quick Lube, 3 miles from my home. They have always done good work before the above date. They had my complete trust! This time they not drain it properly and did not diagnose the slow drain. They added 4.8 quarts on top of the existing 4 quarts still in the engine! They later admitted it, but offered no acceptable.settlement! They let an old senior customer, Diabled American Veteran, drive away with an over filled engine! The engine shut down five days later!

Tony Whitson Believes Old Cars and Old Veterans Do Not Count!

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, April 26, 2017

The car was running when entrusted to his care! His employee is incompetent: I quote him-22-2-16: "I don't know why it showed so overfilled. I saw that and did not understand...," Duh?! The owner Tony Whitson walked away from me ignoring me.. I was totally shocked at the incompetence and inconsiderate mess. He let me drive away the day before without telling me! I discovered it a few miles later when the engine was accelerating poorly! It was 200!% over filled! I couldn't believe it! The engine shut down 5 days later! Mr Whitson would not even tow the car to his shop for 4 months! What if it were a new Mercedes! I continue to inform churches and businesses and newspapers in the area! They are shocked! Law suit threats are not extortion! Until he pays me my demand, I will continue to publish: "Disabled Old Veteran sent home with overfilled engine by Waterloo Quick Lube, Edmond, OK!" I Disapprove of Waterloo Quick Lube! Henry Edmond OK

340,000 miles of neglect

AUTHOR: Tony - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 26, 2017

This vehicle, belonging to Henry Ray Yandell, had 339,424 miles on it at the time of service 12/1/2016. I have record of changing the oil two other times on this car: 10/10/2013 @ 302,964 miles, and 12/18/2015 @ 329,262 miles.

My technician said the oil filter was filled with sludge and the oil was slow to drain this time. They even poured a quart or two of fresh oil through to make sure it was all drained. I was not directly involved in this particular service, but I know they put 4.5 quarts of fresh oil in the engine after it stopped draining.

I was not aware that there was a problem with the dipstick showing over-full until 12 days later. Upon arriving at work I found a handwritten note that had been stuck in the doorjamb at my office, from Ray, telling me that he had sent me 2 e-mails about his problem. I am in the automobile service business. I generally use the telephone to communicate or speak to my customers in person, not via e-mail. I tried to call him that morning, but he wouldn’t answer my call or respond to my voice message. I tried on EIGHT different occasions over the next 2 months to call so we could figure out what needed to be done to fix the problem. Ray told me in another “letter” that I need to deal with his son, Scott. Neither of them would accept my calls or respond to my voicemails. Then he sent me an 8 x 10 picture of a dipstick with a bunch of oil on it. Handwritten on the edge of the picture was “Nothing to discuss” $1000 now or $1500 lawsuit. Extortion much?

Ray complained to the Better Business Bureau. They sent me the complaint, to which I responded with a complete timeline of events leading up to that point, 7 pages’ worth. I stated, in this letter, “I don’t know why my technician didn’t alert me or Keith (my mechanic) to the appearance of an over-filled engine, but he did not.” At no time did I admit that we over-filled his engine or that we failed to drain it properly.

In the next letter from the BBB, which was Ray’s rejection to my response, Ray stated “We have since tried to drain the engine 24 hours, but it still would not hold more than 2 quarts when we added fresh oil.” If this engine, which is supposed to have an oil capacity of 4.5 quarts, will only hold 2 quarts after draining for 24 hours, this indicates that there are literally HANDFULS of sludge inside that engine. This is not a problem that an oil change technician would be able to see or adjust for. The only way to remove that amount of sludge from the engine would be to COMPLETELY disassemble the engine and dig it out.

Ray Yandell is trying to destroy my business reputation all over the internet because he has a worn-out car that has been severely neglected and he wants me to pay for it.

I have been in business here for 18 years. If there is a problem that is our fault, I’ll step up and make it right. This, however, is not our fault.
