toothpiick@gmail.com is a serious rip-off. My son found this guy online blogging about Halo an xbox live game. He advertisers that he can increase your level on the game and charges money for this service. He wants you to pay thru paypal. My 12 yr old son wanted to do this so I allowed him to give me the money and I used my paypal account to send "Joe" the money. After you send him the money you have to also give him your gametag and password for xbox live so he can log in to your account and increase your level. My son sent all the necessary information to Joe and he tried to say that we didn't pay and for me to send him the tracking ID # from paypal which I did. He logged into my son's account changed his password and never increased his levels. Now my son can not get into his xbox live account. In the meantime I asked paypal to cancel the funds transfer to Joe's account. Joe now is saying that I and my son tried to trick him that we tried to steal his account information. How in the world can we do that? We sent him everything he asked for. I have reported him to xbox live. They are investigating him along with retrieving my son's gametag back. I am also reporting him to paypal. They should know the kind of people using there service. I have contacted Joe myself and asked him to change my son's password back to the original password and all he has to say is that I am a moron. Joe will have to answer to this one day. Here on earth or at the end of time. He needs to stop taking advantage of kids online.

YOU should be smarter..

He didn't take advantage of a 12 Year old, he took advantage of the Parent.

First he will "increase" the level of your son's Halo account for a fee.  So what exactly are you teaching your Son.  That hard work and dedication mean nothing if you have enough money to pay someone.  Yes to a game that sounds strange, but expand that out to other aspects of life such as school and work and you can see the problem.

In a way it was also good that this happened.   As if it went through okay, you would have showed him that there is absolutly nothing wrong with giving someone your personal account information.  I wonder if he asked for YOUR credit card number or SSN if you would have given him that as well.

If anything comes out of this hopefully it is that BOTH of you need to be more careful about what information you give out.
