TransDevus and Moore, Inc. partnered to move autonomous vehicle site coordinators to Moove Inc. on May 19, 2025. Transdev facilitated the initial Moove onboarding opportunity in April 2025. Sent me the online form to complete and record as a record of my interest in working for Moove.
The onboarding process began in April 2025. My name was on the list of Transdev employees who would transition over to Moove. Human resource department confirmed this to me in May as a response to an email I sent the human resource department. My Moove recruiter's name is Geoff Achtenhagen.
Mr. Geoff Achtenhagen contacted me via my work email address during the week of April 21, 2025, to inform me that he had sent me several emails to my email a Gmail email that was set up at work and was to be used to receive Transdev as well as waymo emails. Upon receiving Mr. Geoff Achtenhagen's email at transdevus.com I telephoned him to ask what could be done about the problem of not receiving his emails. Knowing that not transferring to Moove meant I would no longer be working for Transdev I asked him if I should look for employment elsewhere. His response was not to worry about providing him with an alternative email address. I provided him with a personal Yahoo email address. A few minutes after doing so I received the welcome to join Moove job offer.
Transdev's arrangement with Moove requires employees released from Transdev to work for Moove. Geoff stated that he could not guarantee there would be a spot for me at Moove since he had not received my completed background document. I learned about this in the month of May in an email he sent me to my work email address ending with transdevus.com. I responded to Mr. Geoff Achenhagen's email to send it to my Yahoo or Outlook email address. He did not respond.
While at work I overheard a work colleague talking about sending her background information to a company by the name of CETN a third-party company conducting the background work for Moove. I asked my colleague to forward me what she first received from CETN to ask the people about my situation. Chatting with one of the representatives I found out that it was not for an employee applicant to arrange for the online application link to be forwarded to an email address not on file with them that Transdev had given them, it would be for the Transdevus to contact them directly.
Geoff the recruiter made no effort to have my email address changed for me to receive the online link from CETN. I did not hear from Geoff until May 16, 2025, when an email was sent to my Yahoo account. In Geoff's email, he wrote the following: :
Hello,
Thank you again for your interest in transferring to Moove. We appreciate the time and effort you’ve invested in the process.
After reviewing all onboarding requirements, we found that the background check was not completed, despite multiple reminder emails and extended deadlines. Unfortunately, this step is required for all transfer candidates, and we are unable to move forward with your transfer at this time.
We understand this may be disappointing news, and we want to emphasize that we value your interest and hope to reconnect in the near future. For upcoming hiring classes, we will continue to consider new transfer candidates, and we encourage you to reapply when the timing is right.
Thank you again for your time and understanding.
After not receiving this I reached out to several autonous vehicle supervisors as well as managers from Trans Dev US as well as a Moove representative in charge of handing out movile telephone devices to explain the situation.
Leaving Transdev on my own free will doesn't apply as I was told I was no longer employed by Transdev. I've explained this to the State of Arizona. It'll be for Transdev and Moove to work through with the state the actual reason for my dismissal. On May 19th I contacted human resource department person Michelle De Alba and copied several managers that I had contacted several days before to state the following:
Good morning, Michelle,
I want to take another minute of Human Resources time to ask if, in your opinion, I should assume that my employment with Transdevus ended with my release to work for Moove, who did not hire me. Should this be the case, I will be certain to file for unemployment. At the same time, I am looking for a new job. Also, there is the matter of returning TransDev's mobile telephone. I can stop by the Mesa depot later today to drop it off to someone at the front entrance desk if this works.
