The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Shawn Pigg during an onsite inspection held by a third party verification company with no biases toward Hotels Etc.
Hotels Etc. is a company dedicated to providing their clients with the lowest discount rates for hotels. Shawn Pigg, CEO, stated, "Hotels Etc. has the lowest travel entertainment recreations discounts on the market." The staff negotiates with companies all over the globe to get a discount that is not available to the general public. Once they have obtained the discount it is placed on the member's only aspect of their website. Mr. Pigg additionally stated, "our motto here is to help people save money, and that's what we focus on."
Leads for Hotels Etc are acquired through several different venues including television, radio, magazines, newspapers, conventions, and seminars. After initial interest has been placed in Hotels Etc. a potential client can sign up to become a member on Hotels Etc.'s website. After they sign up a package is mailed to their home that includes instructions as well as a physical membership card, "from that point they go to the website and register, and then are able to access the discounts."

During the onsite interview, Mr. Pigg was asked to describe some of the common complaints that Hotels Etc. receives. Mr. Pigg assured us that they rarely receive complaints, but if one does arise they will go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Mr. Pigg described a situation where a client missed a hotel reservation due to a flat tire, "I got a hold of our suppliers and got her money back."
When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Pigg stated that one of the complaints on the website was from a disgruntled employee. He believes other comments to be a result of customers being frustrated and instead of reaching out to Hotels Etc. they posted on Ripoff Report. Mr. Pigg ensures all clients that they can reach out with an issues, "if anybody ever has an issue, comment, complaint, or anything in between they can contact our office here, and we will be more that happy to assist them." travel card international/hotels etc. ripoff they took 189.00 out of checking acc.for credit card discount card tricked and lied to us Internet
Travel card international contacted me by phone saying that i was preapproved for a visa card.They needed 2 separate debits from my checking account totalling 189.00.
I gave the information and it took about 3 months before i recieved my so called credit card.When the package arrived it was an application for a visa card,a hotels etc.card that offers 50% discounts and a fax form to send them a downpayment on a vacation.
The down payment was to be taken from checking account also.
I do not see what they are financing.Your paying all your expences.I feel that if i actually faxed them a request I would lose more money.
There is not even an address on any paper or brocure I have from Travel Card International.I dont think i will ever go for another scam or get my money back.
