I was contacted by Travel Life offering me a free vacation, told them I was not interested and insisted that they would mail me the information for my review and that i would have 30 to cancel without anything being charged to my account.

They then informed me, speedily, that these other companies would then also send me info thru the mail. As I recieved the information through the mail, the cutoff day was the day before and my account had already been charged $149.00. This was the Florida Direct company.

I had trouble calling in to cancel all of the other memberships because not only did they register me with my cell# but my work# as well. And how they got my routing and account numbers in the first place? I don't know. They mentioned that it was a reward from some merchant where I had made a purchase with my check.

Who is the merchant responsible for leaking out my information. This has already cost me $350.00 due to overdrafts and bank fees. I do not have this money.

One other thing I forgot to mention, I call the customer service to check on the status of my refund and customer service is experiencing some difficulties and am asked to leave a message. Have left repeated messages and mailed in my request for refund as directed by Florida Direct.

Make a WRITTEN request to your bank card customer service for a CHARGE BACK.

You usually have 60 days for requesting a chargeback. If you continue to fiddle around with people who seemingly pulled a fast one on you, you may wake up to a burned Rome.

Maybe next time you will simply refuse to deal with anybody who calls you or emails you with a wonderful offer replete with garantees. The mailed material these outfits send always seems to arrive at the end of the promised moneyback approval period, so when you do have the information that tells you to cancel it is too late to cancel.

Next time, just say "NO". And then hang up.
