Tribu NYC PLANAXIS Allure Branded Group Marketing Concepts Illegitimate Marketing Company offer Jobs New York NY

Today I submitted an application via LinkedIn for a Marketing Assitant at Tribu. The job sounded like it was pretty interesting and my qualifications were pretty much on point to what they're looking for and it's pretty much what I've been looking for.

According to LinkedIn, over 200 people have applied for this position in the past three days, so I really wasn't getting my hopes up:

Imagine my delight when I got an email from "Inga Purmalis" [and a text message from her as well!]:

All within 5 hours! I replied that I'd be happy to meet with Brittany and awaited further instructions.

While waiting, I decided to do some more research on the company and found out that they are using several different names and send out the exact same email congratulating you on having your resume reviewed and that they want you to come in.

I did a quick Google Maps search of the location and it looks shady. Not at all what their website looks like. 

While researching them, I also found this Reddit article that validates that this is indeed a scam. 

Wondering why the images on their website don't match the description on the Reddit Article, I decided to do a little more investigation. Turns out that every image [with the exception of the image of "Brittany Goodman"] was swiped from other articles online. In one of the images, the "employees" that are in a meeting are all wearing lanyard with the WIX logo on it! (Wix is great, by the way. Easy to build websites).

I got another email from Inga confirming our interview on Monday, and this time her last name is Schaberg...

Needless to say, I sent a reply with my findings and withdrew my application:
