Tunde Ishola Oyekan Religious scam / Nigeria Babalawo in Oyo town, Oyo state

I came across this scammer a couple of months ago when he started posting on facebook. I'm very interested in African spirituality and this person poses as a Babalawo, a priest of traditional African religion. When I started to have some issues with my partner this guy offered to help me - all he did was exploit my vulnerability! I sent him some money for prayers and offerings at an Orisha shrine in Oyo state, Nigeria.

He told me that the problems I have with my parter would be solved within 7 to 15 days and if they are not solved I would be able to either get my money back or he would send me a piece of African art, like a religious carving - he even sent me some pictures of different carvings he has and sells. It all sounded very friendly and sensible - like 'no win, no fee' - but thats probably just because I was desperate for some help. I went ahead and sent him $200 / £150. Whilst this doesn't sound a lot, I have now found out that this is more than what most people make per month in Nigeria!

Needless to say, this guy is just a scammer! After a week he told me that he can't do anything because the prices for materials in the market have gone up and he would only be able to help me if I send him more money. When I told him that I don't want to send anything else he became very rude saying that I just don't understand how expensive everything is.

To fix all my problems, he told me that I should travel to Nigeria, pay $4000 and be initiated as a female Ifa priest. If I take some other people along to get initiated with me he would even split the profits with me. Since I started talking to him all he has done is asking me to send him money, not to ask him questions and travel to Nigeria for initiation. My partner and I have now split up. I told this scamming Babalawo that what ever he supposedly did hasn't worked - complete silence since! I feel scammed!
