It is very upsetting to read all the complaints against this company, because they all are basically what happened to me.
I ordered a Canon Powershot from them. I also ordered a larger memory card that was about $39.99, and a nice leather bag for my camera. The morning after placing my order I had an e-mail to contact them concerning my credit card info. I called and they told me I had entered the wrong exp. date, so I gave them the correct date. The salesman then ask me if the memory card I purchased extra was for the camera I had ordered. I told him yes that it was. He began to tell me that the memory card would not work in that camera. Me being a trusting person, belived his spill about the memory card I needed he had but it was $120.00, but that was what I would have to have. He offered to discount it a little if I would get the rechargeable batteries. I fell for it!! BIG MISTAKE!!!
My camera came and I was very happy with it. But the memory card was not the right size it was too small, and I had found out that paying $120.00 for a memory card was insane. Also they sent me a bag that was cloth, nothing like the one in the picture I had ordered.
I e-mailed them about the mess up, and requested that I send all the "extra" stuff back and only be charged the $219.00 for the camera. They replied with it was their policy not to refund portions of a "package deal". That was the first I had heard of a package deal. I tried many different ways to express that I did not want all the extra stuff only the camera. They advised me to let them send me an upgrade memory card for free, and the correct bag to prevent me from paying a restocking fee & shipping to send all the merchandise back. So I agreed to that then when the replcaement items get here, the memory card is still the wrong size & once again the wrong camera bag.
Needless to say I am furious, I have tried to call them to actually talk to a human, and I will be put on hold for at least 15-20 minutes, them dissconnected.
This company needs to have something done, so they can stop doing this to trustworthy people. They are taking advantage of every customer they have, at least that is what it sounds like to me. I don't know what will be done. They are now on a Holiday until Oct.27. When I ordered my camera I had to wait a week, because they were on a Holiday then too (the first of Oct.)They sure do have a lot of holidays.
I hope that they are stopped some way some how!! I will do what I need too to help it happen!!!
