The UCSD hospital introduced a new fee: patients must pay, in addition to a usual pay to the doctor, a rental fee when the doctor rents an office on the hospital space. I was surcharged $400 for a routine 15-minute visit to my doctor. Isn't it a ripoff? The insurance refused to cover this fee. Outrageous, isn't it?
