Ultimate Auto Care I got charged $500 labor on one and 1/2 hours work!!! Las Vegas Nevada

Hi my name is Shawn. I was born with no hands, and own a 95 toyota corolla. My friend who is a part time mechanic told me that I needed to get a new CV joint on my car (passenger side). I brought it to Ultimate Auto Care with the parts already purchased from auto zone. The owner quoted me $70 labor, yet bumped it up to $100 labor, cause he didn't know that I needed the whole half shaft replaced. No big deal...

I then get a call that my front strut mount, and front strut went bad. He told me it would cost $759.22 (500 labor). I explained to him I could not afford to pay this, my finances were in disarray. I took my car home and it stopped moving literally 1 block out of the shop. Weather or not they actually damaged the items them self, well I cannot prove that... But after an hour and 20 minutes. (I have the call logs) they called me and told me my car is ready... Well I asked what the $500 labor charge was if it only took one hour and 1/2. He said there was "no way it only took an hour and 1/2."

I showed him the call logs and he said they were working on my car before I left the shop. I explained there is no way, cause I told you I couldn't afford it...why would you work on it. He continued to offer excuses and asked me to leave the store. I went to some honest mechanics down the street, and they explained to me that the going price to replace all four struts(front and back) and have it re-alligned would be around $500 total... He printed me out a chart, and I went back.

The owner said there is no way that they would do it that cheap. I brought it to two other mechanics and all 3 said I got ripped off!! Beware about Ultimate Auto Care on W. Windmill on 6000 W. Windmill in Las Vegas. They are smiling faces that will rip you off without regard. My buddies girlfriend also had a terrible experience with them they offered her estimates then charged well over their quote. Las Vegas, Nevada...beware of ultimate auto care!!!!
