On October 17, 2007 my girlfriend and I went to ultimatedvdshop.com and purchashed 4 volume's of TV's Yes, Dear. We thought we found a gem because we struggled to find that series on DVD anywhere else. They said a confirmation e-mail would be sent to us, and that the product would arrive in 12-14 days. Well we never recieved the confirmation e-mail, and they also charged our credit card company 117 dollars instead of the 110 that they said in the reciept.
18 days later we had yet to revieve the item, and contacted them through their live internet support link on their web page, because the phone number wasnt working. They appologized for the delay, and said they were behind, but it was shipped, then gave us a phony tracking number.
we contacted them twice more in the following two week period to get told the same exact thing, it was sent out on nov. 6th, and should arrive shortly. The tracking number still didnt work. Five weeks after the order we contacted them again, and were then told the item was shipped on nov 25, and they gave us a new tracking number, which accually worked. Two weeks later the product arrived.
After opening the DVD set, and put it in, i noticed there was no usually FBI warnings of any type at the beginning of the DVD, and noticed the start menu looked alot like one i had seen from my friend, who copys TV shows and burns them to DVD.
Turns out thats exactly what they did, copying episodes of Yes, Dear directly from WB and TBS. Even ads for upcomming shows on TBS poped up on the screen just as it would on TV. They accually copied the show through a computer, and sold it. Which is text book copyright infringment.
The service was a nightmare, and we called our credit card company and were refunded the money from them, they said they would persue ultimate dvdshop.com for the refund.
Do not buy from this company!!! they're flat out terrible.
