On or about July 7th, I ordered a case of paint from Uneedit.com and they immediately [ and always politely] responded that the product was "back ordered" and "will not be available for shipping until 07/27/12".

They immediately charged my credit card $142.47 [including shipping] but a week or so later, I found another company who had the product and would sell it by the can, and could ship it immediately, provided me with a UPS tracking number, and only then charged my credit card.

Never did business with a company over the internet before that has done otherwise [charge credit card before having the product to ship].

When I tried five [5] times to cancel my order with UNEEDIT.COM, they ignored my emails until I communicated that I was contacting their state's attorney general's office, consumer protection division as well as the Federal Trade Commission.

Suddenly [poof!] they magically "shipped" the product they would not have for another couple of weeks. They called me and demanded to know who the competitor was and how much they charged for their paint and if I could cancel with the other company because they have already "shipped" the paint to me.

I have tried "continuously" [as they phrased it] to get them to send me a TRACKING NUMBER to prove they had shipped it and they still refuse to provide that information because they still do not have the product. They must be in big financial trouble if they have to charge me a month before the product is even available and if they have to beg me to cancel such a small order to a competitor.

This company's business practices are suspicious at best and deceptive at worse. Caveat Emptor!! Buyer Beware. Once I informed them that I contacted the consumer protection division, they have "offered" to refund my funds. We'll see.

I have the AG's office, Consumer Protection Division to look into this to make sure they refund my funds to my credit card. Guaranteed: They will NEVER be able to provide a Tracking Number because they do not have the product to ship, but were stalling to keep my order active.

Desperation and Deception is not good for business.

UNEEDIT.COM Follow-Up To Problems With This Company

AUTHOR: Moses - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 07, 2012

This is a follow-up to the complaint filed against UNEEDIT.COM regarding their claim that a "back ordered" and unavailable retroreflective Krylon spray paint was shipped when I cancelled the order.

After five [5] attempts to cancel this order shortly after it was made because the product was found that sold the paint by the can instead of the case and DID have the product in stock and could have it to me within three [3] days.

UNEEDIT.COM claimed they shipped the product [even though a few days earlier they would not have the product to ship for three [3] weeks but refused to send a tracking number to prove they did ship the paint to me.

My having the Arizona Attorney General's Office's Consumer Protection Division begin an investigation into this company motivated them to finally refund a credit to my credit card, which initially they refused to do until I "return the shipment" that they never made to start with [they lied and lied and to this day the "phantom shipment" has never arrived, nor have they provided a tracking number - BECAUSE THEY CAN'T.

It took my notifying them that I was sending all information about this fraud to four [4] national news agencies as well as the Federal Trade Commission before they gave me a refund to my credit card and said "you can keep the shipment out of courtesy and to avoid the hassle of trying to get it back".

Well, its been a week later and still no shipment [duh!] and no tracking number and I changed my credit card number so this company can no longer charge me for a "phantom" shipment.

Fortunately, the Attorney General's Office has created a file on this company to keep track of any other suspicious behavior on the part of UNEEDIT.COM and eventually they will end up hanging themselves by their own dishonesty and deceptive behavior.

Thanks to the AG's office, it lit a fire under the egregiously dishonest company who only had the product when I cancelled the order and then called me begging me to cancel the order from the honest company and wanted to know all my personal business with that company. Again, desperation and deception best describes this company.

Caveat Emptor! Buyer Beware of this company no matter what they tell you.
