I'am GLAD I Went With My GUT!

AUTHOR: Prophetess64 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 23, 2010

I received that crazy letter in the mail today about sending in the $37 and having a $10,000 credit limit because I met some criteria. Hog Wash! I knew then, it was very shady. What I can't understand is why These people are able to get away, repeatedly, with the same thing. Their has got to be some law they are breaking, to continue to false advertise there credit union. If anyone comes up with a way to cut this scam, "off at the knees, please let me know. I will be glad to assist. By the way, I don't plan to send them money now or ever and unless you have money to give away, I suggest that anyone else that receives that letter, does the same. Tell your friends about these creeps so they can be aware! I am soooooooooo glad I have this site to refer to when in doubt!  :-)

This is a common scam

Sorry, but there is nothing you can do. This scam has been around for years and you must be young to not have heard of it. There are many out there, scams come in all shapes and sizes. The main rule to ask yourself is "Is this too good to be true?" If your credit is bad, or nonexistent then why would someone extend you a credit of ten thousand dollars? Would you lend you that much if you were them? If the answer is no, then it's a scam. Also, don't give out your acc't numbers or other ID numbers to people who call you on the phone or send you phony emails claiming to be your bank or whatever. Be very careful. You can build credit the old fashioned way. Keep a job, pay your bills on time, get a gas credit card or JC Penney card and then apply for visa or mastercard and get credit that way. It takes years to build credit to where you will get 10,000 credit line. You won't get it any other way but to work for it. And you will never have to pay to get a legitimate credit card. Good luck.
