This company completely misrepresents themselves (through their agents) as "major medical" -- then they wait 30 days before you get a copy of your policy ... I actually had to call and request it ... If you are an insurance agent or have a lawyer, you will know that it is NOT what they claim.

They also "let their agent go" that fills out your application BEFORE you get your policy. The agent will allow you to sign your spouse's name to the policy and say "Oh, that doesn't matter" when you question how you should answer their application questions.

My husband went into the hospital February 25 - March 7 of 2008. It is now July 8, 2008 and we have yet to get complete claim information from the company. They have decided that the answer to some of questions was incorrect and that they will only cover future expenses on this condition if we agree to pay more money!!!

I could go on forever, but I think this covers the main points.

Goreville Rip-off Hits Vienna/Simpson

AUTHOR: Bono - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Tami--I have a feeling you and I might have the same "Agent".

David--So you're saying Tami (and myself) both deserved to get ripped off just because we might have put a little bit of trust into the agent who sold the policy? I don't know if the agent who sold to Tami is the same one who sold to me, but if "she" is, knowing someone from our "back yard" tends to blind you to possible fraud.

Yes, as consumers we should be aware--and apparently knowing someone & their family for almost 20-years doesn't mean diddly either, but give me a break, these Agents should be held responsible for bilking single mothers and hard pressed couples out of money they can't afford to lose.

Do you always sign blank checks?

Why would you pay for a policy without even seeing it first? Why would you sign your spouses name? These factors alone should have raised red flags. You bought a pig in a poke and seem to expect people to feel bad for you. Even if everything you said is accurate, you bear the majority of the blame for not being a responsible consumer.
