United Services Benefit Association USBA USBA a 20% increase in preminum at age 65 Overland Park KS

I went through my USBA mail and found out there was an increase in preminums because they had a greater payout for groups in the 41 years old and older? My preminum increased by an additional 20%.  I still have the age group increase to look forward to next year.

It's been difficult.  The tax decrease and the raises has increased the cost of living.  Life insurance is a choice not a necessity. So to make preminums more manageable I reduced my payout by 60% with the hope on my next year anniversary it won't be a burden as it would be now.

Then in Oct 2018 a direct hit by hurricane Michael. We have our lives but the homeowners insurance payout won't cover the repairs. Makes one wonder what we are paying for?

As I sat pleased with myself I realized.  I bet everyone that turned 65 got a similar letter. Customer service agent was outstanding willingly telling me how to decrease costs. When before all the other agents wanted to increase coverage.  So they want to reduce their liability since my time is limited and I fell for it?

Maybe my experience will be useful to someone because I know it happened to others.
