My husband and I screwed up and didn't file for 10 years. When we could clean up our act we contacted several tax relief agencies and decided on United States Tax Relief....they sounded great. To our complete dismay, 14 months later and not one single piece of paper sent back to us, we find out (after seeing this website) that they are gone. The main number and fax have been disconnected and I've have absolutely no contact with Richard Hargus for over a month. His voice mail is full and states that he had a personal tragedy in his family and would return on March 3....today is the 20th.

I've sent numerous e-mails with zero response. They took our money and promised to help, but they've put us in more jeopardy than before. We could very well be financially ruined, but I guess that is of no concern of theirs. Please don't let this happen to you.
If anyone has any ideas on legal recourse, we will gladly participate.

First and formost, I have offered to assist this client with their tax matter. However, I do not know what cell number they are referring to. My current cell number is working, however, I do not give that number to clients. My office number is disconnect, since I am not being paid by USTRA to maintain it. My CORRECT EMAIL ADDRESS IS rlhargusea@aol.com. If you want to send me an email, then we can discuss this matter. As mention to clients I have offered to help, I have no contract with them. Helping them is just something that I decided to do to try and help some of those who paid USTRA and have been left hanging. I have not been paid, nor will I be paid by USTRA, therefore, any work that I agreed to do is, as stated to them previously, as time permits and without pay to try to help. Your contract was with Mr. Gill and USTRA. I have no contract to provide any services, and I have not recieved any money to complete working on your case.

Now that you have my correct email address, feel free to contact me to discuss how you want to proceed.

Richard Hargus contacted my husband and I approximately 6 weeks ago to let us know that he had all of our records and could return them if we wanted OR would continue to work on our case. We even offered to pay him for his services as he was aware of our issues. To date, May 6, he has not personally responded to several e-mails (his personal). He promised to call after one week (six weeks ago). When we call his cell phone it won't allow us to leave a message just instructs us to leave and e-mail, which we have done. At this point all we want is our records back so that we can have someone else do the work for us that Richard Hargus and USTRA promised to do. As of 9:00 p.m. on this day, his personal cell phone has been disconnected. His e-mail RHargusAE@aol.com commands no response what-so-ever.

I am currently working with this client to try and help resolve their tax issues.

As you may or may not be aware, USTRA has filed bankruptcy. They have not paid me to do any additional work or for some of the work that has been completed to date.

Your contract is with Mr. Mike Gill and the United States Tax Relief Agency. I have no contract with you, nor have I received any of your money. In order to obtain a refund, you will need to contact them or file a claim against their assets in the bankruptcy.

I discovered their bankruptcy when I called their office and heard a recording. They have now shut down their offices, their phones, and the USTRA client computer system from which I worked on cases. Therefore, I have no access to client information that was on the Goldmine system.
