We just got back from a vacation in Cancun.  While in Cancun we were approached by Unlimited vacation club.  Unfortunately for us we accepted their invitation, gave in and became members. Two weeks after we got back home my husband got his passwords to log in to their web site and he started looking into their rates and availability to start budgeting for our next vacation.  This is when he found out that nothing that we had been told that convinced us to become members was true.  We had been lied to and became part of a big scam they have going on with those vacation clubs.

They invite you to a presentation and amidst the conversation they start asking you about your vacationing habits about how much you plan to spend on that particular vacation,  what is more important to you in planning your vacation, etc., etc., etc.  They kind of make an analysis and figure out an angle to convince you to buy the membership.  The exaggerate the facts and plain out lie to you, since there is no way for you to check right then and there with what little experience and what you have available at that moment you think you make an informed decision, and well, you fall.

Mr. Cayetano Moctezuma Gomez is the UVC representative that feed us all this lies, the main one and most obvious one when you log in to their web site is that for a Dreams resort you would expect to pay an average of 75 Dlls per night per person, ha, big fat lie their rooms are no less than 125.OO US Dlls, and their availability is pretty restricted.  My husband could not believe it he was convinced that it was a mistake or that he was doing something wrong so he called an agent for the club but it was the same thing no available dates and if they had any he got a quote of 4800.00 Dlls. then he decided to go through Txxxxxxxxxxx to get a quote for the exact same thing dates and everything and voila 435.00 US Dlls, but this price included air fare and rental car.  We urge you to please get the word out about these scammers in Cancun.

At this time we are trying to get out of this stupid club and any help we can get from you or your readers will be greatly appreciated.  most important please publish this so that people stay away from Unlimited Vacation Club, any of its representatives especially Cayetano Moctezuma Gomez.

Timeshare Scam

AUTHOR: margaretsims90 - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, November 23, 2015

The best advice is NEVER buying a timeshare anywhere. It is a scam and the so-called timeshare you buy is sold over and over again to other people. It is very difficult to sell your timeshare now and renting isn't in the deal. It will cost you more to buy a timeshare and maintenance fee than to rent a hotel room or a full ownership of a condo. Don't do it. There is good information about timeshare scams: http://www.timesharescam.com/blog/68-timeshare-scams-mexico-vs-us-why-are-there-more-situations-of-fraud-in-mexico/
