Why is this a ripoff?

And this is a scam because.....? It's a sales promotion. I called the number and set up an appointment to sit through a sales pitch on their travel services in exchange for a couple of free (plus some expenses) tickets that might or might not be worthwhile. But that doesn't make it a scam. If it turns out to be a scam, I'll file a report.

It's too good to be true! I didn't recall signing up for a "sweepstakes." But I travel a lot. Who knows who have sold my information to this company. But I had the gut feeling to check for legitimation. Sure enough, the one who post it first came from the same area as mine as well as the same amount on the check. Thanks for the post!
