US Foreclosure Relief REfund policy scam Orange California

I wanted assistance with loan modifications, they told me they could help me with first and second mortgage and needed my $1000 pmt to start the process. Once they got my $$ they would send me the contract. they also told me i don;t have to ever pay my second mtg since they would have to buy out the first mtg and the second mtg company would never do that, SO they ended up saying they would only help me with the first and if i wanted help with the second, i would have to pay for it, $1000 plus two payments of $675. i signed the agreement and faxed it back, i thought about it for a day and decided to cancel and want a full refund, per the contract i have 3 days from the service agreement, WHICH IS the signed contract. Well, i am told no prblem, fax us that we don't want to proceed. so i did and waited and waited for my checking account credit. i never saw it, then they tell me they made a mistake and i will be issued a check on september 15th! they took my money on July 25th. i can't dispute with my bank becuase they ran it as an electronic debit and i authorized it. so i am in waitign and probably losing my house. the contract never stated the refund procedure, in fact i am not sure i will even get my money back? how can they do this? they say they are registered with the on-line better business bureau, but i think they are nonexistant because they didn;t respond to my complaint. basicallly i am out $1000. how can they take $ like that from people who are struggling in the first place. i checked and they are registered with the state of CA.
