The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Joe Bruce during an onsite inspection held by a third-party verification company with no biases towards USA Solar, Inc.

USA Solar Inc. is a company dedicated to providing their customers with high-quality solar panel installations. Joe Bruce stated the following about his company, "we linked up with a banking partner to where we can finance the job for customers where they do not have to pay anything up front. We eliminate their current electricity bill with their utility company but they will pick up a new bill for the solar finance but that is going to be cheaper than what they are used to paying. And so, it gives them a net to net savings as soon as the system gets installed and turned on."

Leads for USA Solar Inc. are primarily obtained through inside sales and direct sales. Mr. Bruce further detailed their direct sales approach, "we have we created a team of females to empower women in the workforce specifically in tech because less than 24% of women are in some kind of technology employment which is a big deal because that seems to be the future of our employment. To empower women, we wanted to give them a good stepping stone to get involved with us and to get into solar technology. So, they call themselves the Solar Angels and they are a direct sales team. So they go out in assigned areas and knock on doors in their assigned areas that they have their permits in and say Hey are you interested in going solar. If the customer says yes, they will schedule a time to sit down with them or sit down with them right then and there if they are ready and show them the numbers. If they like the numbers they do have to qualify and if they meet all of the qualifications, then we can get them signed up and going. So the solar takes about less than 30 days to get permits and HOA approval. Then we offer kind of a package it is solar but then I have worked for a lot of companies and a lot of solar companies try to put as much solar as they can on the house and it makes sense because the sales rep will make more as it is a larger system. We make up for our loss of production with good customer because what we do is we give them a smart home energy package. We retrofit their house thermostat, energy-efficient lighting control, and even smart vents so even their vents will shut and open depending on where they are at in the house, their water heater we optimize that so that if they are not home their thermostat works with the water heater and tell it to stop heating the water because we don’t need it right now. It is $2000 worth of product that we give each customer. It lowers their consumption by 30 to 40% less than what they were before and then we build them a system off of that. So we don't make much money off each customer but we will show better savings each time and we think we will look like rock stars cause it puts them in a position where they may overproduce and the energy company will have to pay them for that energy at a wholesale price."


Mr. Bruce was asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. He described their escalation process, "if they are not happy with speaking with their consultant they will have their account specialist that can update them on the project and I don't know why they wouldn't want to talk to them but there is just basic customer support where they will get all the information we will get it on the back in if they if there is an issue or a problem we will reach out to them directly and talk to them and find out what is going on. We will send them a visa prepaid card and some chocolate or brownies from a local bakery as a show of good faith to show we care. We do it to show them that we are a little bit different. We have to gain their trust and we do everything we can. We are growing and adapting, and this year has been the best for customer service."

When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Bruce expressed that the complaints were false reports from an ex-employee. In order to further assure future and current clients, Mr. Bruce provided their credentials, "Well we have everything we need to legally do business in the states that we are in. The counties do a pretty good job of that for the customers. We have to be a licensed contractor, master electrician, NABCEP certification these are all state requirements. Customers really don't have anything to worry about you know all the licensing and requirements they will see are stamped and approved by their counties."

Worked for this company, USA Solar, the business owner is Joesph Bruce, the company is a fake and Joe is a scam artist, He has ripped off multiple different people and committed fraud amongst many companies, I was not paid for the work I did, was promised everything under the sun and received nothing. Karma always has a way of getting back at you. It's time someone took a stand against this thief and con-artist.

I find it funny how Joe Bruce of Usa Solar has the time to write something about me when he has been on the news and the BBB has a negative report on you. I can gurantee 20 people will agree with me about how you are a consistant liar and can never deliver, This list includes homeowners and ex employees. I joined this company thinking he was a honest man and a man of his word but he is the reason door to door has a bad name he will say anything for sale and to recruit you. He also lied to me for over a year about how solar works (solar is good but not the way he does it.) I've had to call and say sorry to the clients I've signed and that are fustrated with the product and what was promised after leaving company because they would still call me asking "what's going on, when will they finish": "Edwuije no one at the company is answering my emails or calls". He also never sent out any 1099 forms for contractors or his w2 employees. Karma will catch you and you will soon be back where you started.

For all out there do not do business with this man, I will also notify old employees and homeowners about how you are trying to attack me.

The orginal USA Solar copied by many on other companies since conseption.

The orginal business name is USA Solar & Wind Inc. = USA Solar ® = http://www.usasolarwind.com 

There are not others related to or branches or franchises.

It has answered to many abuses caused by other branch business using USA Solar as a part of thier own business.

I am leaving this comment, with geniune concern for other people looking to work for you or work with you. so no one gets further scamed. You were even on News channel 6. An investigative reporter did a report on you.

I am truly sorry for we have failed you in training you to become successful in the direct outside sales sector of USA Solar. We now have invested in better training software with virtual reality software, in addition, gamification software for a more fun environment. I have made multiple attempts to invite you back but you must come to the meeting and ride out to the field with the team. You have refused the offers and demanded 250$ in pending commissions, with no recollection of this I have found a result from accounting. You're currently in debt to USA Solar from chargebacks from canceled accounts, unapproved uber charges, etc... We have formally made an itemized receipt of this and provided it to our local attorney's office for defense in your allegations, with conversations via text message we have with you.

You have reached out to the companies partners as well with a very malicious intent to disrupt USA Solar. If this continuesbec we will be forced to allow to the attorney office to proceed in legal action against you. We would be very hurt to see that happen, we would like nothing more to see you be well off and successful in whatever you decide is best for you. I have given everything I could in training you to be the best version of yourself, without sales success I can see how frustrating it can become. We would love to see you return and earn more commissions in a structured setting with the team. If you have no intention of returning, we could help you by recommending you to another local solar company that does not require such a schedule and you can sell at your convenience for commission only. 

We would like to see a change in your malicious mindset against USA solar and resolve any conflict. We will wave the chargebacks against your previous contract and start you on a path to success with a new agreement. We have seen in December and have check stubs of huge amounts you have received, more than your contract was suggesting because we paid you out on an advanced payscale seeing you as a great addition to the team. The only disconnect here I believe is just riding out with car group with the team members. We motivate each other and drive solar sales to help with the climate change crisis, with great energy we can motivate each other as a team to become an elite version of ourselves. I hope that you will make the correct decision and see that we have no anger toward you, the only reason you have not receive more commissions is that after you quit accounting seen you had chargebacks and deactivated your account. I wish you the best of luck on any new journey you have, and you will be missed as a friend and an employee.

As an employee of USA Solar I can say that this report is completely false.  All of the sales reps are paid in a timely manner once the project is approved and then completted.  Everyone signs a rep agreement and this is clearly stated in there.  We have many successful and thriving sales reps who are doing extremely well and helping homeowners do their part in reducing their carbon footprint.

 I want to send my truest apologies for having an X employee to be so upset. Our direct sales force is our foundation for growth and success in my industry, so I am very surprised by this. I want to correct a few things before we have this post removed; 1: allegations of fraud like is a very serious statement, this statement being posted and not being true is illegal in many states. There has been no lawsuits including any partners of USA solar, nor has the company or myself. Rip out report is now looking into this given there policy below; "An explanation that you believe the report is not accurate in some way (PLEASE BE SPECIFIC – If you think the report is a hoax, please say so and demand that the author provide some proof that the transaction/event really happened)" 2: We have settled up with all employees based off the USA solar rep agreement, if this employee wasn't paid its because of termination or the rep leaving the company before commissions being processed, as it states in every USA solar rep agreement. We believe we know who this ex employee is, we are very sorry you feel so negative about USA solar. Please do not continue with the false and negative advertising otherwise we will be forced to take legal action against whom ever this may be. - Thank you
