usprize.com can be found other various names and they even use popular formats like Facebook to do their ripoff. If you click on a prize drawing in Facebook for their Macbook you will register for a drawing. The webpage requests information from you including a phone number to call you at if you win the prize. With this phone number and a check box that is already checked that is difficult to find on the page it then signs you up for various internet services via your home phone carrier. The only number you are given on your bill is ESBI (which is a known rip off front company). When you call they tell you that you ordered this service most probably through the internet. Sometimes they will not tell you how this "order" originated but give you the company name and phone number. On ours it was something like Network Assaurance Inc and the product was the ability to fax from our home phone (gee something that is already possible). When you contact ESBI they say they will reverse the charges and "close the account" but that generally isn't true. You then have to follow up with your telephone carrier and have them reverse the charges and refuse service. If you live in California you cannot ask ATT or others to restrict 3rd party billing. This is a disservice by California's Utility commission and the only reason why it isn't done is someone somewhere is getting their payoff from these companies. Frankly ESBI is in so much legal trouble ATT shouyld refuse anything from them, but they get a cut so they won't change until forced to do so. Key thing is- don't ever register for a prize drawing anywhere- malls or internet. You will get crammed.
