I do not recommend anyone to stay at value place. Everything I feel is already written on the rip off report. I experienced the same treatment which was not good. I feel this company takes advantage of people who are having a hard time. When they find out you are having a hard time is when it really gets bad. Stay somewhere else. TRUST ME

Couldn't be more wrong

I have stayed in and out of the Value Place in Apex. I have struggled with making my payments and have received nothing but empathy and help from both Ms. Applekamp and the staff. They help me with food and getting funds to help pay my rent so that I could get on my feet. Ms. Applekamp was and is always very pleasent with me and my family, she and the rest of the staffd seem to be very fair with everyone.
I personally have seen Ms. Applekamp on several occasions remove late fee's and work with others who were behind (Very far behind) on the rent. The place is kept clean, never have I walked in and seen any type of mess or building destruction (and for a two year old motel, especially an extended stay the place looks and smells brand new). I have stayed in several different rooms through out my different stays and always walk into an extremly clean room, nothing is broken, no hair, no mold, no bugs. They have had my credit card on file (as I come and go) and never have they charged my card without my knowledge.
Ms. Brook mentioned in her report about losing monies in the washing machine, well I too have lost monies in the vending machines and washing machines and have been explained that they (Value Place or Ms. Applekamp) don't own these items, nor do they have keys for these machines. I have seen coin mac come into the buildings to make repairs and pull the quarters, it is very obvious that they have no control over the machines. I have contacted the Vending Company and Coin Mac everytime there has been a malfuction with the machines and have always gotton my money back.
I have seen Ms. Applekamp come into the building at 7:30 am and remain there until sometimes 9:00 or 9:30 pm. She seems to be a hard worker, always working with the staff, cleaning rooms, doing maintenance, and visiting with the other guests including myself. Everybody, cannot be happy with every person, but Ms. Applekamp really seems to go out of her way to really try. My wife and family when visiting are always approached with a smile and on a first name basis. What other hotel can you go to and be approached with such friendlyness..not just from the manager but the others she works with (I won't further mention any names). I wish there were more places like this..Clean, Safe and willing to listen and help.
If you have a personal problem with the company instead of venting on something like this and ruining it for others maybe you should take it up with upper management and if that doesn't help go higher. You are ruining a reputation of a wonderful enviorment.
