Received letter with a $970.00 issue by Bank of America in Dekalb County Atlanta Georgia to help pay for the processing fee. The letter stated that I won US$250,000.00 as one of the 2nd prize winner in the second category of the EUROPEAN, AFRICAN and USA Consumer sweepstake. 

In the letter I'm to contact a Mr. Walter Oni @1-877-533-8983. Monday-Friday: 9am-5pm to start my claim processing and to activate my check of $970.00

The writer of this letter is Julia Vander, Promotion Manager. Their GLOBAL OFFICE CONTACT TELEPHONE NUMBER + 1 877 464 6365.

That's likely a phony check.  If you call to "activate" it, you'll be instructed to go get prepaid gift cards and/or go to Western Union and send them most of the money to pay for "insurance" or other administrative fees on your "prize".  All that will happen is your bank will hold YOU liable for any lost money.
