Several others in NZ have shared the same experience as your reporter Andrea with varying amounts of money involved.
A complaint has been made at Timaru Police Station New Zealand reference No. 130106/6164 supported by some of the NZ victims. All others are invited to contact NZ Police, quote the reference number and add their case to the existing file.
I understand a class action may also be under way from Canada but have no further details.
