Purchased on line light bulbs CFC that are warranted for 10,000 hours each. The cost was about $9/each. I just had 3 bulbs burn out in less than 24 hours each. The only way the company will even address this, is if I send back the bulbs at my expense, and have them look at them. I filed a complaint with the BBB who does not think this is unreasonable. Now considering, I had to also pay a hefty S/H for these bulbs, I would think that if they want them back they could at least pay the shipping back. The folks at this company have been nothing more than obstructive and quite verbally abusive.

Don't buy lightbulbs online.

Here's a pull from their warranty return information:
"Restrictions The Verilux Warranty does not include any postage, freight, handling, insurance, or delivery fees. The Warranty does not cover damage, defect or failure caused by or resulting from accident, external destruction, alteration, modification, abuse, misuse or misapplication of our products. Additionally, the Warranty does not cover damage to the product resulting from return shipping or handling, the use of shipping insurance is recommended. Return Authorization is required for all returns ..."
Looks like you should have read this information before ordering. I don't imagine many companies would just send replacements or refunds without proof of failure or a chance to examine the product for defects to see if future problems can be corrected. Sometimes, with CCFL's, using dimmers or incorrect dimming devices will drastically shorten the life of the lamps. This also applies to many LED lamps.
You'll lose this battle.
