when i called verizon telephone co.   and told them i wanted to drop long distance and toll services  in order to lower my phone bill.

they said ok.   then they said it would cost me 5.25 to change it  plus 16.00 for processing fee.  doesn't sound like they are trying to keep custumers. i will look for other options for telephone service
